Within a monthlong residency at ChaNorth, in Pine Plains, NY, I created an installation of works on paper and artists books. Using observational drawing as the germinating seed, I translated the local flora onto linoluem blocks and loose paper. These became objects I could experiment with, using the printing process to create different variants on the same image. In using the ceiling rafters to mount other drawings and prints, I evoked the forest canopy, while the use of text and color questions our relationship to nature in the present, especially in regards to consupmption.
